How unsubscribes work
One tap, immediate, and it stops messages already queued.
Every message carries a working unsubscribe link. One tap and it is done, with no login and no "are you sure".
It takes effect immediately and also cancels anything already scheduled for that person. Somebody who unsubscribes on Tuesday will not receive a message that was queued on Monday.
You cannot re-add someone who has unsubscribed. That is deliberate.
