The box
Switching off your old guest Wi-Fi
The one change to your router. You or your installer do it; Margovy never does.
If your router already broadcasts a guest Wi-Fi, guests will keep joining that instead of the Margovy network, and they will never see your page. So it is switched off during setup.
You, or whoever installs the box for you, do this in your router. Margovy never logs into your router and never changes it remotely.
Leave your staff and business Wi-Fi alone. It is not touched, and neither are your tills or card machines.
Find the guest network setting in your router. It is usually called Guest Wi-Fi or Guest network, and the router’s own manual or your broadband provider’s help page shows where. If you cannot find it, tell the chat button which router you have and we will help you through it.
Switch it off, and leave the rest. Nothing else in the router needs to change.
To check it worked, join the Margovy Wi-Fi on a phone that has not used it before. Your sign-in page should appear.
Switching Margovy off in your dashboard never touches any network. Guests on the Margovy Wi-Fi go straight online. If you ever want your old guest Wi-Fi back, switch it on again in your router.
