Part of our guide to salon marketing ideas
Writing salon return emails without making assumptions

"We haven't seen you for a while" can sound strange to a client who visited last week but did not connect to your Wi-Fi.
Salon win-back emails need careful wording because different systems observe different things. A booking record describes an appointment. A Wi-Fi record describes a connection.
Before enabling an automated return message, establish what actually triggers it.
Check the signal behind the message
Ask whether the audience comes from completed appointments, a manually maintained list or guest Wi-Fi sign-ins.
Each can omit information. A scheduled appointment may later be cancelled, while a regular client may never use the guest network.
Do not turn an incomplete signal into a confident claim about the relationship. Wording such as "You're welcome to book whenever you need us" leaves room for the client's actual circumstances.
Margovy's customer-list features explain the visit information recorded through guest Wi-Fi. Read that alongside your booking-system records.
Give the invitation a useful purpose
A return email should make the next appointment easier to arrange. Link directly to the current services and availability.
A suggested version is: "If you're planning your next appointment, you can view our services and book online. Contact the salon if you need help choosing."
Use current information and avoid implying that a particular appointment is reserved. The booking page remains the source of availability.
If you include an offer, define it accurately and check that the team can honour it. A discount should not conceal the need for an appropriate consultation.
Match the timing to the business
Different services have different patterns. A fixed period without a Wi-Fi sign-in does not necessarily mean a client is overdue.
Review the automation timing and consider whether the message makes sense for the whole eligible audience. Switch off a preset that does not suit your services.
Guest Wi-Fi for salons can support follow-up, but the salon still chooses the wording and operational approach.
Keep marketing eligibility current and respect requests to stop. Do not manually re-add a client simply because their name appears in another list.

Read replies before expanding the programme
If clients reply that they already have appointments, examine the trigger and wording. That feedback identifies a mismatch between the message and the records.
Measure completed bookings through the appointment system. Report email clicks as clicks, rather than treating them as recovered clients.
Compare Margovy's follow-up options and choose the messages you can explain clearly to your team and customers.
