Part of our guide to visitor attraction marketing
Farm shop café marketing that introduces the shop

Someone visiting your farm shop café may leave without exploring the retail area. They might be short of time or simply unaware that an ingredient from lunch is available to buy.
Farm shop café marketing can make that connection naturally when the information is accurate and easy to use.
Start with a product or service that genuinely relates to the café visit.
Connect a dish with a product carefully
If an ingredient used in the café is available in the shop, describe the relationship clearly. Check with the kitchen and retail team before publishing it.
Do not label something as local or produced on-site unless that claim is supported. A photograph of the farm does not establish where every product comes from.
Show customers where to find the product and whether stock changes. If the shop is in another building, include a simple direction.
Keep allergen and dietary information within the process responsible for checking it. Marketing copy should not improvise suitability claims.
Make opening arrangements visible
Café and shop hours may differ. Display them separately so customers can plan the whole visit.
If the shop closes before the café, mention that where diners can see it in time. A retail invitation sent after closing is less useful to someone already on site.
Your guest Wi-Fi page can link to the current range and shop information. Margovy's welcome-page tools support those destinations without requiring a complicated new journey.
Where there is an online shop, label the link accurately. The store remains responsible for orders and availability.
Use follow-ups to introduce another reason to visit
For customers who have chosen marketing, a thank-you can point to seasonal shop information or a maintained events page.
A suggested line is: "Thank you for visiting the café. You can see our current shop opening hours and seasonal range here."
Avoid claiming to know what the customer ate from their Wi-Fi sign-in. Use the message as an invitation to explore.
If café marketing is your starting point, Margovy's café page shows the relevant guest experience.

Measure the connection without inventing attribution
Use till records to assess retail sales. Ask customers how they found a featured product when the conversation allows.
A rise in café Wi-Fi sign-ins does not prove additional shop purchases. Keep those measures separate when reviewing the campaign.
Ask both teams what customers misunderstood. Improve the link, directions or product description before adding more promotions.
For separate shop and café buildings, contact Margovy about the layout so the guest Wi-Fi requirements can be considered properly.
