Challenge
Puntt was launching the world’s first esports player betting platform. A brand-new category in a heavily regulated UK market, with no organic awareness, no playbook to copy, and a competitive iGaming landscape dominated by household names. The team needed a marketing function built from scratch (strategy, channels, creative, hires) and they needed it producing results inside the first quarter.
Approach
We assembled and led the marketing team end-to-end, owning the full strategy across PPC, paid social, SEO, affiliate and content. PPC was structured around high-intent player and game queries; paid social tested creative against the gaming and esports communities Puntt needed to convert; SEO focused on category-defining content for a search landscape that didn’t yet have an answer.
In parallel we worked closely with operations and the development team to refine the product, the user journey, and the onboarding flow, making sure every channel fed into a funnel that actually converted. Brand messaging was kept consistent across every touchpoint to compound recognition in a category nobody had heard of yet.
Outcome
Active users doubled within twelve months. Puntt went from a UK launch with zero awareness to a defined position in the esports betting category, with a marketing engine the team could keep running long after the launch sprint.
